It's Monday! What Are You Reading

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organize yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment, and er… add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye’s Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!

Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit – join them!

Mollie Cox Bryan is one of my new favorites and after reading her newest book, I decided to catch up on her other series. This one took a strange turn and I’m looking forward to the rest of the series, especially to see what Beatrice is up to.
I also have some reviews to catch up on Netgalley so I decided to read Purr M for Murder next. I just love cozies with animals in them and orange kitties are my favorite so I knew I would enjoy this one. It definitely didn’t disappoint and I’m looking forward to reading more about Toby and Sydney.

Following up with catching up on my Netgalley reviews, I picked up Death by Chocolate Lab. I’m at a loss for a suspect right now but I definitely want to hear about a certain detective.

I have quite a few Netgalley reviews I need to catch up on and a blog tour for a new series by Melissa Foster coming out in May. These are tentatively what I’ll be reading next.

I’ve never joined in this before but I thought it would be a fun idea to maybe help me keep up with what I need to read. Let’s see how it goes.

I’m in a bookclub on Facebook and this month’s book was Elemntary, She Read. I didn’t enjoy it as much as I’d hoped. I didn’t really care for the main character but I’m still looking forward to the rest of the series.
Mollie Cox Bryan is one of my new favorites and when I saw she had a new book, No Charm Intended, coming out in her Cora Crafts series I knew I had to read it. It was an overall enjoyable read although a little confusing at times with so many characters. I did enjoy seeing the crossover of Sheila and her daughter from Cox’s Cumberland Creek series. Reviews to come soon.

After reading No Charm Intended, I decided to catch up on the Cumberland Creek series by reading the next one on my list. I just started it so I don’t have a real good opinion of it yet.

*It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?* Last Wool and Testament (A Haunted Yarn Shop Mystery #1) by Molly MacRae

Published May 25, 2015 by Ashley Montgomery

It’s Monday! What are you Reading? is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journeys. This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

What I’m reading:

13542962

(Clicking on the picture of the book will take you to it’s Goodreads page.)

From Goodreads:

Kath Rutledge is about to learn the true meaning of TGIF—Thank Goodness It’s Fiber.…

That’s the name of the spunky group of fiber and needlework artists founded by Ivy McClellan, Kath’s beloved grandmother. Though Ivy has recently passed on, the members still meet regularly at her fiber and fabric shop, The Weaver’s Cat, which Kath has now inherited. But that’s only the first in a series of surprises when Kath returns to the small town of Blue Plum, Tennessee, to settle her grandmother’s affairs.

There’s been a murder, and it turns out her grandmother was the prime suspect. Before she can begin to clear Ivy’s name, Kath encounters a looming presence in the form of a gloomy ghost. It turns out the specter has just as much interest in solving the murder as Kath. So, with a little help from the members of TGIF—and a stubborn spirit from beyond—she sets out to unravel the clues and hook the real killer.…

What I’m reading:

Crash Into Me

(Clicking on the picture of the book will take you to it’s Goodreads page.)

From Goodreads:

What would you give up for everything?

Tristan Stone was powerful, commanding, sex incarnate. And he wore it all so well. From the moment his mesmerizing gaze met mine, I had no choice but surrender to everything he was. His power. His decadence. His passion. He was all I never knew I needed.

He wanted to possess me, and I wanted to be his everything. All I had to do was accept what he offered. But everything has a price.

The world he gave me fulfilled my wildest dreams, but would that be enough when the past crashed into the present?
